    Answers:-

    1) None are easy, go for clubman or extended round nose setups and go the most powerful engine you can afford, as you will always want more I wouldnt do a conversion anyless than than 150bhp, so something like a B16 or B18 setup

    2) You haevnt given enough information, see the stickies at the top of the forum and see which frame ticks your boxes. Personally I have Watsons and would go for that again but that does not make it the best for you.

    3) You need a mini, buy a complete CRX Vti or Type R and lots of other bits and pieces, lots of time and money....but best piece of advice is buy a COMPLETE donor(many people have learnt by their mistakes

      thanks for that mate

1)yeh ill go for the most powerful i can tbh

ive read so many numbers(b16 etc etc)and tbh i dont have a clue whats what.so if you could list the engines to go for, cars they come from, years etc and litre of the engine that would be much appreciated

2)whats the cheapest frame?and what other info do you need from me?

3)yeh ill have as much money as i can afford clearly lol and ill have as long as i want.but would like it to take between a year and 2 years

      thanks

        1) I just went to google and searched on 'honda engine car list'

and this is the first link that came up:-

You need to decide on the engine setup and frame hand in hand.

        2) Cheapest isnt really going to be the best, which you asked originally IMHO, but home built is the cheapest...Look at the sticky at the top of the forum for market frames and this will give you all the information you ask for about them.

        Anyway Chow

right well these are the engine numbers id have

          b16a
          b16b
          b17a1
          b18c
          h22a
          h23
          h23a1
          k20a

are there any of the above that are just not a feasible?like going to be harder that the others?

i wouldnt know where to start to build my own frame so i think ill need to buy 1.

I believe H-series engines are too big to use in the front of a mini! You would be looking at a B or K series ideally!
Boundaries are only formed by a limited imagination! - everyone has limits, not everyone accepts them!

if you cant be bothered to search and do some homework you will struggle with the motivation to build a 16vmini. 20 minutes and you will have the answers for that list.

If you want to shock everybody at lights get a Metro. Minis don't shock people eneymore its expected now as so many about. Your best to do research but if your not a Vtec fan then go for the most powerful/cost.

You could always try one of those rover Special K's. I've heard of someone building a subframe out of all his old McDonalds thickshake straws and it goes like rasberry !

Dont tell Matt i said this but it would be my first option when i build another one. Donars are just so cheap and usually pre-owned by someones great-great-great-great grandad

Lol you been riding your Honda lawn mower to long. All that high pitched noise and slow movement has made you tied

What you need Greg is a VVC metro. I can get you a silver one with a black bonnet for £800. Bargin!
