  • ariel atom v8

    any one seen the new ariel atom v8? it goes like stink! got a v8 in it made from 2 hyabusa engines bolted together........ does that give anyone else idea's. in the atom it works out at 1000 bhp per tonne.

    i had a honda k20a (typer)atom, it was good fun but a bit scary on the limit and very errr open and wet ,raced at anglesey in it sneaked out in my all in one waterproof suit over my overalls

      Apparently Caterham are revealing a new car at the autosport show. Funnily enough it's called the 'eight', i wonder if this is going to be a similar power plant as i've heard rumered that it will also be 1000 bhp per ton.

        atom uses a powertec v8 ,mate has a powertec v8 in his westfield aswell

            If that engine fits in a hyabusa it must fit in a mini.

                I am sure the V8 would fit a Busa if it was very long wheelbase you know what the yanks are like

                  We make a V8 using two R1 cylinder heads at work. RST-V8. Do a 500bhp rotrex supercharged version too, 10,000rpm, nice.

                          Prices dont usually get listed for this engine as its much down to spec, put it this way, a second hand one went for 27k...

                              Think I spotted this new Ariel Atom on the Top Gear preview of up coming features, I think Captain Slow was driving it !
