  • Mini Showdown Competition - 11/12 July 2009

Thought I would pop a new thread up, to see who would like to compete for a www.16vminiclub.com trophy that I will buy.

On the old thread that could not be retrieve I think it was decided that the winner would be the person who achieved the closest time to his/her predicted time, with the exit speed being used in the event of a tie-breaker.

If you are interested in taking part, please add name to list and your predicted time & exit speed (to the nearest .01, please keep time slips and can be run either on saturday or sunday) :-

                What times are being estimated

If Matt, Evo or darrell breaks into the 12s, then a big pack of smarties are yours.

Does anyone here have any details of this event? From what I can find it looks like we have to run in Class I? Are we allowed to run slicks in that class or is it road tyres only?

class I is anything goes, non mini engine, FWD . so yes you can run slicks, cheating gas, whatever

incidently i think i cracked another ring land last night(methanol injection failed at 1.6 bar of boost ) as the engine is breating heavy :S may change my time to a 17.1 @80 as i may have to traverse the quarter on 3 cylidners

I found the class info by searching through google. Cannot seem to find any official information about class's anywhere so thought id ask here. Think I may email someone and ask for some more info.
