  • 2 choices, either find a suitable piston with a bigger dish in it or use a decompression plate.

    • Looked in to some custom pistons and works out to be £110 + VAT each, heard that and it was a kick in the teeth.

      In regards to decompression plate, would you know anyone who manufactures these or where I can get hold of one?

      • A machine shop can make one for you, use a head gasket as a template.
        You just need to raise the head from the block further to lower the compression, kind of like wearing 2 or 3 head gaskets.
        I couldn't tell you how thick you'd want it, that would be down to you to figure out.

          Work out the thickness and they should be able to laser cut some stainless plate to suit.
