          • Hi mate, I just wanted to ask I am looking to do a similar conversion to mine, but with a added turbo, but my question is where have you positioned your coil for the dizzy, as I cannot see it in the pictures?

            Cheers

              • spot on, passenger side wing, just in front of the red bit that holds the bonnet on

I would love to see some more pics of your turbo manifold kappa3, i am considering turbo'ing this....

Gotta keep up with mustard somehow....

                      • yeah basically that is it, but not sure if the turbo will be ok to run on standard internals or would I need to upgrade these?

The manifold is off a 1.0ltr nova, as this one is slightly higher than the the one for the e16se, so it will not foul with the subby.

The only problem is to see if it will fit in the car with the elbow and exhaust down pipe, I am putting it in my clubby estate though, so bit more space than the usual round nose.

                        • Im not sure it will fit, but many people leave the turbo's hanging out the front (looks cool imo)

Personally, i would make a totally new custom manifold like a lot of people have done before, meaning you can mount the turbo higher up, and even closer to the block. and you can also angle it in any way you like, so long as you have the tools it wouldnt even be that expensive to do.

Engine internals wise... i dont have a clue, shouldnt be a problem if its in good working order and the compression ratio is correct. but dont run tooo much boost though, else you might blow the welds in the intake.... (FF1 quote for ya... not serious)

                          • You'll probably want to lower the compression if your running standard internals and I wouldn't wanna risk running big boost.

                            • What is the best way to lower compression for these engines?

                              Does anyone know?

                              Please help

                              • In regards to making a manifold for this, what metal is the best to use for this, I may make a trial unit and then get it made professionally seam welded, as my welding skill are not the best
