Thank you for the walk around, that's probably the best introduction into a project I have seen within this 16v mini forum.

Was that a single upswept dtm exhaust = (scrap!)

UPDATE - everything a-series in the bin

As you can see everything a-series out.
        998 in the bin
        exhaust off
fuel lines are next for the bin

as you can see honda wiring 'looming' around, will start tucking into the splicing mission i have this week in preparation for the subframe arrival

              split rims rebuilt!

rolling on Compomotive Turbo's, 8x13 on rear and 7x13 on front.

I made an error with tyre sizes as i bought 60mm walled and these dont fir the rear, just waiting to have everything built up to see if i can use the 60s on the front plus might help having a bigger wall given the weight on the front etc (if thats even a factor).

just need to get my extended wheel studs sorted and order my carbon miglias

You may find that the sidewall flex on that profile tyre may well induce extra factors to torque steer

you reckon? its trial and error, I don't even know if the 60mm wall will hit anywhere on the front yet. will have to see and report back

minor progress this weekend as i got caught up sorting a decat on my starlet.

managed to get the fuel pump modified and re-wired to suit the mini standard mini tank:

also managed to do the work required to de-immobilise the ecu, big thanks to ECU-MAN @ ozhonda.com for the tutorial

so as i said the other day, the subframe has arrived!

its an allspeed unpainted subframe kit with mounts, bottom arms, relocation brackets and drive shafts (unbuilt):
                              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDx5wIMek44

i put the frame in and was about to kick off about the top mount holes not lining up until i read the instructions stating this was the case and how it should be:

a mock fit of the engine and everything sat as id expect, overall impressed with the build quality at allspeed, thanks Rob:

next question was 'whats next?' so i started on the wiring nightmare. 6 hours later and id cabled up most of the passenger side loom to the ecu along with half the pgmfi relay and other relays:
