Default Other projects....

I was just wondering who has other projects either planned or already in progress as well as your mini??? I have some amazing ideas for things i'd like to do but they money just cannot stretch that far. I am not sure if I posted pictures up of this before but I bought a mk2 escort about 6-7months ago which I am making vauxhall powered

They are one of my favourite cars in the world, they look so mean when they are tarted up, handle amazingly and there is nothing like watching them in action in a rally!!!! I am not going to spend a fortune on the engine or anything like that infact it may well stay pretty much standard but I would love to have it as a red top engined every day car which I can just drift around in.....As time goes by I want to make it into a tarmac eating track car.

I have already got the engine for it my friend had to break his astra gsi, he had the tappets done, cambelt kit, water pump and oil change on it 2 weeks before he broke it lol it has done 100k, superchipped, est. 165 bhp, no smoke, sweet as a nut! I also got gearbox, loom, inlet, engine mounts, linkage, starter, driveshafts, manifold, ecu etc..........the whole lot, bearing in mind he just spent over 200 on it, for 300!!!!!!! ha haha bargain.

I don't have a Mini - I originally came in here out of interest in Atchi's project. Used to have a Mk1 Swift GTi. My recent project is this...it still needs a bit of work so be kind:

Basically standard Alfa 2.0 with twin 40's. Once I get to drive the thing and get used to it, this may change.

You've no taste man. MK1's are the ugly duckling. I had 14 of these things and the last one i built went like stink. only a wee lightweight race built 1.6 crossflow though. Much lighter than the big OHC. could even keep up with the new boy on the street at the time. . . . . The Redtop GTE! I actually viewed a couple of them 3 or 4 years ago when I eventually ended up going down the mini route. Damn motorbike accident making me look for a "safe" hobby instead

Best of luck with it. G

If your counting none mini/motor vechicle related then Ive got my bathroom to tile, the banister rails to finish, the rear patio area to complete, my shed to complete, gates to put on the front drive, a porch, an extention above the kitchen, a car port, new windows, a conservatory oh and convert the loft...... Now after all that theres the misses paul smith look-a-likey to start, my sportspack to restore and my 1st mini to restore into a 1330 rallycross oh and not forgetting to build a mini trailer out ov the studio two in the lockup, speaking ov lockups, in there is my old puch maxi ped a go to fix aswell, and cut the grass for good measure
