Dont get me wrong but why did you go for a 1.8 vauxhall engine instead of something like a 1.8 honda vtec engine? was it preference? The power you are trying to achieve would be there in its bone stock form...

so i guess he might like vauxhall , also the 1.8 should fit in round nose ok , using MPI rad , so that could be factor

Hey, sorry not been on in a while - will have an update soon.
Yeah I could have used a Honda lump, but had previous experiance of the 1400 and 1600 vauxhall units so used the same fame and went for the 1800. Also a standard steel front was a must, not easy with the Honda engine. (But not easy with this build tbf) also I prefer the sound of this engine on itbs over the Honda.
If I wanted straight out power I would have kept my turbo lol
