Default Portable hammock stand, from electrical conduit

So I thought I'd try a hammock as a way of camping without waking up with pain in back/legs/shoulders. Thing is, you can't rely on there being a couple of conveniently spaced trees at every campsite. Saw a few things like this, but they're 100 and never in stock, so thought I'd have a bash at making my own.

Shopping list:
3 metres of electrical conduit from Screwfix ~10
Pack of conduit hooks from Screwfix ~4
10 metres of Amsteel cord (no stretch, super strong) ~10

Used it on a recent trip, did a load of the Welsh section of the Trans Euro Trail. Here's a couple of pics.

Cheers guys! Yeah it was a comfy few nights. Could have roughed it and slept in a bivvy under the tarp, but this was pretty luxurious.
