Depends where you want to go and what you want to do really.
Food and drink, you can eat well on 20 to 40 a day. Or you can blow 60 on a bottle of house wine up The Shard. (Worth it for toilets, best wee ever!)
Tube network is good and cheap, gets you to most places. I wouldn't bother with taxis unless you like watching the meter go up while your sat in traffic.
Personally if I'm staying around the centre I walk everywhere, best way of seeing the sights and coming across something unexpected.

What are you plans while here?

I actually thought of the Mini's tour too Kam!

Never looked it up before and didn't see the prices. I would consider a career change to earn that kind of money. It's very expensive IMO. I would drive to London (250 miles) to earn that.

In fact if you fancy it I'll do a tour of Yorkshire including the Dales if you can spare the time and cash to come up North!

The tube is best for getting around. Very frequent service and no traffic (nightmare at times) to worry about. Taxi's run by the meter meaning you may hit traffic and you are still paying for the time. It does get busy though at peak times but if you have ever been to Dubia then it's not as bad as that!

I personally think around 50 a day and you would be having a good time. More if you fancy a few luxuries along the way. You could easily spend double without trying.

Most restaurants have menus and prices outside so you know if you are about to get fleeced or not. Look up Wetherspoons pub chain. They are a good value (nothing fancy) eatery and decent drinks too. There are many of these across the UK.

Now you're talking, why would anyone go to London when they can go to Yorkshire, the best place in the world.

hmm, yes keep thinking of moving, but it's quite nice here too, although I dislike how busy it is getting with all the new houses they keep building in my town.
