Thumbs up

Social event is always good with me. Pick a location and I will be there.
I would have thought that somewhere central like Manchester, for instance, would suit all

What's the general consensus, do we wait to see what the decision is tomorrow morning (if there even is one made) or do we pull the plug now?

First thing to say, well done Garry for persevering and trying to make this happen

It might have to wait for the next scheduled council meeting for a decision, though if it does come through today then great! If the event goes ahead with use of the track I'm still in, otherwise I'm going to bail out

It's off, just spoke to John and the council want to do a second inspection. I will refund you monies over the next few days. Sorry everyone. If people still want to camp at the Mid Wales Activity centre John has said we are allowed to do that and he will let us free of charge

Thanks Garry, proper shame I wonder if we could rebook with them for a later date once the situation has been resolved?

Oh well at least the Allegro might make it to the NEC show in November as its wanted on the ACI stand.

I've told the mrs I'll take her out if the weekend is cancelled so she is pleased!

Just want to say a big thanks to Gary for sorting it all in the first place. I wasn't driving but was looking forward to meeting up with you all and checking out your cars. If anything gets arranged for another time then you can count me in.

I had a feeling this would be the case, typical of the council, everyone can say yes and the council will still sit on the fence.
Is anyone else going to meet up somewhere? Im up for a social event still.
Well done Garry for getting us this far and persevering with getting us updates.

i'm happy for a social meet, either at the mid wales centre (although i't might be a bit depressing seeing the track and not being allowed on it!). or somewhere else, any suggestions?

I too think you have done all you can Garry. No one is blaming you for what has happened. It's just the way this country has gone now. I must admit it's disappointing but have not put as much effort in myself as others have, In particular Matt G who has done fantastically well to get this far.

Not sure on everyone's opinion but mine is it's too far to go for a camping night. So will not be attending if that's what is agreed.

The offer of a social meet and stay at mine is still available the Saturday afternoon/night. No charge, just bring stuff for a BBQ and beer. Can accommodate quite a few over night. Bring sleeping bag and pillow if wanting to stay over.

Happy if someone else wants to host something similar.
