This is interesting as I could add a secondary charging circuit using this method. No room on the crank pulley but I found this modified water pump.

This is very interesting find!
Although strictly for race cars with absolute minimum load requirements!

Is your mini on the road? Do you have any issues with the 40A alternator? Idle, lights, wipers, heater all working ok?
