    Available springs for loan/buy

It was mentioned at MITP over the weekend the number of springs that people buy trying to get the setup right. We therefore thought it might be a good idea place a post on the forum listing what spare springs we have that people could try/buy before going down the new route. Anybody want to kick it off, maybe Andy could knock up one of his famous whizzy spreadsheets???

after being pointed to this thread by mark d, id say that it would usefull to people to have it as a sticky in the for sale section.
if i didnt get sent a link to it i wouldnt of come across it.

                        just my 2 cents!

ive got 1.9" 400lb(what huddersfield said) , they're what ever come on the protech coilovers from huddersfield spares. not sure what length (still on car) but they are too soft and bottoming out on larger bumps. so i guess im after a set of atleast 500's. also my car is alittle on the lowered side, and all i have is about 1.5" more i can raise it. hope this makes sense to someone. whats a good length to get? if i get the 500'+s ill have the 400's up for loan.

I have these sitting about gathering dust:-

                            1.9ID 9" 100-120 progressive.
These are the springs that came with the Huddersfield rear beam.

With 12 " wheels for normal road use I couldn't get enough height into the rear suspension.

Im wondering if you guys could share some experience,
I have gaz front coilovers but i cant lower the car anymore because the spring isnt long enough, they are wound up near to the top too but if i wind them
Down im bottoming out on the coilover bumpstop.

Unfortunatly they are second hand so the only spring info i have is
Coilover open length eye to eye 13 inch
                              Spring length 6 inches
                              I.d just under 3 inches

                              Other info
I have is car weight 570 without driver 650 with
                              Vauxhall smallblock upfront
Rear beam and coilovers at the back
                              So basically front heavy.

Could you please advise/point me in the direction on what poundage to go for?
Its a road car but i like a stiff ride ! (that does sound iffy)

I was thinking go for 7-8 inch spring to enable me to wind them down but as for poundage i have no idea what! I understand we all have different requirements but springs range from supee low poundage up to massive poundage so a start point would be cool!

                              Thanks boys
