    Javelin sprint series

After seeing how restrictive and expensive the MSA seem to be making sprinting and hillclimbing I think this is the way I'm going to go. I've been lurking on another forum and reading an ongoing thread about this http://www.javelinsprintdays.co.uk/JTSS/ .

I'm close to having a usable race car and need to give myself something to aim for. With this in mind I'm aiming for a Javelin track day in April next year possibly one in May as well to have a shake down.

I would be aiming to do a sprint at the end of the summer and then do the full series the year after. The javelin sprint series is open to all with a full driving licence. Have a read of the regs.

    So who is interested?

I need to have a clear out in this section and get rid of some of info on Barkston Heath and start fresh with some more ideas.

Wow looks really good. I'm really tempted to build something more track biased.

Are there details of the classes? I didn't see.

The Javelin Trackdays Sprint Series is a simple and easy to enter sprint competition series for the trackday driver....

I'm not sure if you have to be signed up to the forum but this is the thread i was talking about http://www.uphillracers.com/showthread.php?t=13411 As is the case on Uphill Racers it always has the stalwart hill climbers and those who want something cheaper.........lots of bickering about nothing as well.

For our bastardised Minis the Javelin events make much more sense than the MSA controlled equivalent since they went bonkers with their safety requirements & licencing in order to align with FIA.

These days MSA dictate that we'd need to spend over £1k on new race suit, dated harness, dated seat, fully compliant FHR (eg HANS), FHR compliant helmet, flame retardant thong, certified rollcages ...... the list is somewhat endless .

You can definitely count me in as senior pit bitch for Stella Mk3.5 but I'm also liking the idea of remaking the General for next year as it's my 50th birthday in May so that's something to aim for.
