Had a quick look at this over my lunch hour....

Had a quick look at this over my lunch hour. Looks like I’ll be able to move the left hand mount out to the end of the rack and it’ll miss the diff, but I’m going to need to space the rack back a bit...

Hopefully moving it outward will be enough as Iím not keen on moving it much further in towards the middle of the rack. Iíll have a play about this week and see what I can come up with

Stripped the engine and subframe out again to look at fitting the mgf steering rack, need to try and find room for it and the diff without the need for the turbo poking through the front panel

M32 box is trash anyway, they chew through bearings on standard cars so probably worse on modified ones. Didn’t know they did a 4 wheel drive one though

In the process of changing over to a cable clutch, Iíve sorted the bracket at the gearbox and I have the cable. What I need to know is, is there any measurements to go by for drilling the bulkhead...

I see quite a few snapped belts, some with hardly any miles but over the recommended age limit, some over the mileage but not that old, others have snapped before reaching age or mileage.

Definitely cut from the top and add to the bottom, that’s what I’ve done and it made the throttle much less of an on off switch

That doesnít actually look too bad, I would need to re do the side plates and tower bolts on the subframe though, but itís an option if the mini rack is that bad.

Iíll need to have a drive in it...

Mine was fine with the vvc engine as well, Oz is on about what I could do to still use the metro rack with my turbo engine to stop the need for the mini rack which causes bump steer issues

Thatís a good idea.. I have minimal clearance at the bulkhead, had to notch it to clear the manifold because Iíve moved it back so much, but if I moved the subframe back then the engine could move...
