***CANCELLED***
Unfortunately the track is unable to re-open in time due to the council wanting to carry out a second inspection. Refunds will be sorted ASAP. I'm very sorry to all those who made a big effort getting cars ready and arranging transport - I tried my best to make it happen. John at the Mid wales activity centre has offered us free camping this weekend if we still want a meet up
Refunds have now been sent out to the paypal addresses used to pay with, they may take several days to process- for some reason refunds take longer to process than sending money...
I've been trying to get something organised for next year after a lot couldn't make it to the Shakespeare meet this year. If Shakespeare is open next year we will have another little meet but I have something more interesting in mind for the main event.
I have managed to find a tarmac rally stage/track (not rough - suitable for road cars etc) we can hire out for a weekend, it's a 2.2 mile long track that can be looped into a 4.4 mile track! It will be one car running at a time so no chance of someone else damaging your pride and joy. The track is in mid wales at the appropriately named Mid Wales Activity Centre (http://www.midwalesactivity.co.uk/). There is camping available on site from friday until sunday with the track open EXCLUSIVELY to us on saturday and sunday. We need to get 20 cars booked in to get the track to ourselves and if we get 20 cars the cost will be £50 per car! yes £50 for the whole weekend! This is for mini's only (preferably 16v but will open up to normal minis if we need the numbers).
Retro show is on the 17th June, so I have chosen our event to be on 23rd - 24th June so it doesn't clash and as far as i'm aware this doesn't clash with any other shows. I will be putting a deposit down for the track soon then I will give instructions on how to pay.

Now this is getting close i just need to clarify a couple of points. This is not like any other trackday where there is a company organising and marshalling the event and who are resposible for any liability. We have collectively hired the track to ourselves and are all therefore responsible for ourselves.
Legally I am not in charge/resposible for any of you or your vehicles, I am not liable for any incidents on the track (or off it as well), I have simply collected your money and passed it on the the mid wales activity centre.
The Mid wales activity centre do have liability insurance but this does not cover damage to your car should you run out of talent. They will not be marshaling us or be responsible for us on the track - you have each privately hired out the track for your own use.
This isn't meant to worry anyone, I just need to make sure everyone is aware that they are responsible for themselves.
As we will be marshaling ourselves (thanks to any volunteers) - the marshals are not responsible either, please use your own judgement.
All that being said, we will all be there to have fun and no-one wants to go home with a bent car so I'm sure everyone will be sensible
