hi guys thought i might get a few pics of my mini up

a couple of shots of my subframe so far hopefully start chopping the old frame out in the next couple of days need some more welding wire

just some cutting out to do and tidying up on the frame ![]()

Subframes looking good, think i'll start mine the same way, adding tube and cutting the original away after instead of making a frame to hold the mounting points. Good work.
Are you keeping it the same colour? one of my favorites |

yeh will be keeping the colour cas i love the volcano orange thats 1 of the reasons i had it

just a small update
managed to get most of the old frame chopped out couldn't believe how long it took here's a few pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() if any one can see if i am going wrong anywhere PLZ post comment's

Looking good so far, but will add, you may need to cut and move the lower suspension pin front mountings back. If doing this you will need to cut the "wavy" bit out of the bottom pin and weld it back together.
This is the only pic I can find, haven't got any of the frame mod, but you should be able to work out what I mean. EDIT: here's a pic of the actual pin (one of) after it had been modified...

youll have no ground clerance with that frame, itll probably bottom out if you get down to the bump stops! get measuring against a normal mini

You might get away with it but you wont be able to lower the car. Plus a vauxhall is very heavy so you will need some very hard suspesion to keep it of the ground.
