Default my first mini build

hi everyone have owned this
mini for around 2 yrs now was goin to run it with the supercharged aseries

have been coming on this forum reading guides...then jerrys suzuki kit came up so brought it...the following pictures show how far we [me and mate lee,his the one in photo] have come in three weeks


this was the state of my garage

out with the old

inner wings cut


first bit of welding ive done


master cylinder fitted

engine fitted



my mate lee...working him hard

since these pictures we cut the front of ready for a fibre glass round nose fitted manifold have plumbed in fuel lines and fabricated new brake line to master cylinder

Not another one of G13B!
So this one will finish before me as well then.

Then again you are cheating by buying ready built Jerry's kit.

Well good luck and if you ever want to Turbo it, let me know.
I have flange kits for TD04 and Garret turbo(GT17!? or T25 or GT2)...

You may want to look into stronger diff before you go to Turbo though!

havent given up yet,havent been well...got plans to fit exhaust rework water hoses then start wiring have got this weekend off so if feeling ok will get a couple of hrs a day in....

been working on mini today this is what ive managed to



plan on wednesday is to mount the petrol tank...then start wiring it ready for the big turn key

yeah loosely fitted it....as my windscreen scuttle has a fair bit of filler will attempt to build this up to contours of fibre glass wing edges

only been pottering around on the mini inbetween fitting bell housing to mates colt turbo...have now laid wiring into car ..pulled apart existing mini loom started placing where i want it mating it to loom jerry supplied...think if i hadnt got loom off jerry the mini may have stalled at this stage,its good to have guide to work with will get more pics up soon as i have also brought some corbeau seats off james rolph with harnesses
