Mini temp gauge accuracy using Honda sensor

I want to use the original Mini temperature gauge with my B16a conversion. Obviously the Honda temp sensor will not give the right reading. What do I have to do? Thanks in advance, Dennis.

Mines is hooked up and it works fine. Sits at normal then rises slightly till fan comes on in traffic.
