Default Matt The Rat Clubby Estate 2.0 8v

Hi there thought id start this topic off now as im bored and at college doing absolutly nothing hahah

i Think Matts has bin the most inspiring watching it on here, youtube and tmf and i think ill defo turbo mine at a later date...

Been playing around with the boxs tonight and found a small hickup which i hope can be sorted on here (posted on tech section already)
I was swapping the release bearings over from cable to hydro and noticed the centre input shafts are of different diameters so the hydro release wont fit onto my f16 at the minute (awaiting response).
also made up the gearbox mount plates tonight ready to weld up when the lump goes in the car for mock up...

f18 box

f16 box

both together

mount

That looks nice! Where did you get it from and do they do small-block versions?

had another good session on the 8v tonight.. had a few problems with the flywheel bolts but sorted now.. im aiming to take the engine to work this week to make the front subframe so fingers crossed..
anyways a few pics..
pete lining clutch up for me. (cba to do it haha)

can you tell what was wrong with the old clutch?

pete again

the new setup..

got the hydrolics fitted finally

on another note.. does anyone have a spare insert for this bit i cld pinch at all mines missing?

and.. does anyone know what these do? the two on the right that is.. are they dash signals for anything? and am i right in saying that the one on the left is output signal for a fuel pump from the relay at the bottom of the picture?

also one last thing.. ive got a hole in the bottom of the block near the sump which is just a tube inline with the pins on the crank for i thought this was a knock sensor but am i now right in saying that its a tdc sensor? if it is either one of these (doesnt matter what) does anyone know what the plug looks like that goes to it? or wiring colours?
