Default carbon fibre backbox

Who sells carbon fibre back boxes for cars? Not the ones you see on saxo's and clio's that you can get your head in there that big but a performance item that also muffles noise?

That's what i suspected. I doubt you'll find one well enough packed to be quiet enough for the street, but Pauls car is all about track

Thats right Gary but i would be more worried about taking a noisey mini on the road than the track, we still need to keep within the d/b noise limit and they do check

Any motorbike 1000cc or more will be the plan but a streght through can will mean you have to cheat with th noise test
Just tell them your max revs are 5800rpm it will pass ok.

Paul i got hold of two carbon bike cans of flebay, one was oval and sits in the tunnel , the other round and sits in the boot, i thnik the Don measured under 90 bds when last checked , so very quiet and no apparent loss in power[ car went quicker]over one can previously fitted ,

Having cut a section out of one of my stainless boxes to make it 300mm long instead of 450mm long, I reckon that it would be quite easy to 're-shell' the stainless outer with one of these Carbon tubes. Just use high temp sealant & stainless rivets to assemble everthing.

Am I reading their site correctly that a 600mm length of 124mm ID CF Tube would cost £50?
