I am still doing these its all the metal cut and bent to size to weld around the original mini subframe to hold engines up to 2L with instructions, all you need is engine mounts, bottom arm mounts and your engine. £150 plus £15 postage. Here are the pictures of the frame in kit form how you will recieve it, and what it will look like when finnished.

To the both that have asked about it fitting the different engines, if you had read the first post you would know that he said any engine up to a 2L.

plans are secret at the moment (mostly because i'm not entirely sure myself) but all i know is i'm definately going to have a frame while the goings good. And if mini's weren't so darned expensive i might consider knocking together a smaller engined 16v mini as a daily, on the cheap.

We'll see how it goes.

Oh ok then :p yeah there well expensive, i want one pre 1972 to restore and i'm looking at about 800 at min for one about half decent rust.

hi, interested in one of these kits (will be in jan though) have you any pics on how its mounted to the floor pan at the back???

cheers mike.

Boulton6868
05-12-2009, 08:09 AM
Knoxy all i do for the mount on the floor pan is leave plenty of tube extra for you to do as you wish as some people like to leave the original mountings on the subframe and cut the tubing back and other make a mounth out of the tube where ever they want it to mount.

Hi i am interested in this but i am not a brilliant welder-how difficult are the kits to fit? also where are you located? thanks

Boulton6868
12-12-2009, 11:24 AM
Hi ashton the kits arnt diffecult to put together but you do need to be able to weld or even tack the whole frame up and take it to a local welding firm to finnish wwelding i know a few others have done it this way.
Thanks for your interest.
