thanks darrellive got a late mini wiring loom for sale if that helps you its the best to use as the engine plug on the metro loom plugs into it very easily and you can the fit a late type mini colume and switch gear or a electronic power steering colume from a mgf like ive done 8)

iv used the hydro. and tehres a few issues with it.

1. i could only get a "nice" pedal feel with a really long pedal, il prob have to moove the heater it comes up that high.

2. the slave cylinder sits smack bang where you would like a cooling fan on your radiator to be, this is a majour pain in the arse. the cable setup is tucked away nicely.

the amount of work required to fit cable or hudro is the same IMHO.

i used the origional hydro setup from the 400. an alternative is picKups method, which is rather neat. and tbo i wish id either copied it or gone cable

This is how I did the GTM clutch

With the picKup there wasn't room cause the rad wanted that space so the slave cylinder is mounted on a hefty bit of anle bolted to the engine/gearbox flange

^^^ thats exactly where the slave is mounted on the hydro 400 setup. except the 400's slave is a good inch longer. hence the trouble it caused.

how would it work if the radiator was mounted in the rear??

would the pathetic waterpump handle the extra load??

my vtec has rads in the rear, and it works ok, but however i run the engine at 1500 at idle to get enough flow, and also it doesnt stall as easy with the paddle clutch, put the rads in the front if you can, or get a high capacity pump for the job, i believe jabsco do one specially designed for fitting car engines to boats.
