www.theminiforum.co.uk are arranging a trip with a german mini club, its going to be big as they're talkin to loads of clubs and I thought that we should get involved. Visit the site and there is a post on there somewhere for info and to put your name on (so i'm told). I'm going even if I don't have a mini at the time
have you seen the thread http://www.16vminiclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2211
follow the link and read the bit about the bike crash.

Steve, Your link comes up as not available. Could you check it again and repost. I have been on the Ring and it is well worth the 14 Euro fee to drive it(one 20 km spin). Mind you I was a passenger in a B16 VTEC Mini and was thrilled with the track and performance of the car.
That thread may allude to a comment I might have made previously as I did see a couple of damaged bikes on the side of the track and one guy in a leather suit with major road rash on it in the parking area! JS

Jerry,
The link seems to work fine. Are you signed up to the Chit_Chat forum? If not, click on the Usergroups link above right, and join the Chit_Chat usergroup. You'll then get a new topic on the Forums page.

went last year in the VX, fantastic trip. i went with a couple of guys from work, in the vx, a focus st170 and an alfa q4.
one of the best experiences of my life, even though we had to leave the alfa there!
nearly 900 miles there and back in three days. only managed one lap as there was a big accident and we had to rush back for the ferry.
my advice to anyone thinking of doing it is DO IT!!! there has been rumours of it being shut down, so get in there while you can.

Am interested in this!
Would make a great birthday trip as they plan to be away on my birthday!
Only prob is that that the girlfriend should be at work so will need a different co driver!
Will def have to give this some thought tho!

If I had my car done I'd be up for it - been round a few GP tracks with the misses in her mini - always great fun!
I know Nurburgring has a lot of bad stories, but you just have to make sure you dont push your luck too much - and stay well clear of bikers too since they seem to be involved in the majority..
Rich
guys and girls over on www.clubgti.com/forum make a yearly trip to the ring

Who cares about bike accidents, you could die crossing the road. Drive sensible for a few laps, learn the track, then get faster lap by lap. Accidents happen, get over it, life isn't worth living unless you do what you love doing.
