What cars can be used as a compleete doner car for a 16v vtec conversion?
wat are the cheeper models i.e. non type-R

Civic, CRX probably more but I know they have the 1.6 vti in em.

Cheers for that but what I wanted to do was buy a compleete doner car.
I was after a list of models to look out for that would have the 1.6 16V engine fitted to them.
I could then find one of the cars on the list and use it as a doner for a conversion with one of the kits.

I'd be quiet interested to hear which model honda's have the B16 engines, it would make hunting for one a bit easier.

the b16b also comes in the del sol sir .i managed to get a stolen recovered one of these for a £1000

B16A1 89-92 1.6VTi(Europe) Civic, 96+ Civic Vti(Europe)

CRX(Europe) 89-92 1.6 VTi, 94-97 DelSol VTEC/Vti-T B16A3(USA/Europe)

The rest are either USA or Japan market. That's all I have listed for Europe. Integras have the B17 92-93, B18 90+ in various HP.

Just what I was looking for.

Although I was hopeing that maybe I could find an older doner car like you can do with a Vauxhall or K-Series conversion. the thing is with an engine from a breakers yard they are oftern in-complete, thats why I was thinking about buying a compleete car to start with.

You could do a search on the various scrap yard search engines, this is how I bought my Type R. I paid £1500+vat for a (W reg 2000) 18,000 mile engine inc delivery on a pallet.

Other than that, place a wanted add in Loot.co.uk or Friday-Add.co.uk, this is how I bought my 27,000 mile Mini Automatic £30!
