updated!!!!!!!
the time has come for me to do somethin interesting with my mini.
and now i have a garage, i want to go ahead with the vtec setup.
i finished the garage today with my dad, and its now ready to take the mini.
ill try and update with as many pics as posible as i go along.
so for some backgroung info on the car, its a 1989 racing green that started life with a humbe 998 in. that didnt last long in my hands, and was soon replaced with a 1275. that also has to move out as honda is comeing.
at the moment i am looking for a suitable engine and subframe setup.
the car is in good condition overall, apart from the scaby front end. this will be replaced with hopefully a grp front.
here are some pics of it at the moment.
but it wont be long till i start tearing apart.
this is my first major project/restoration as it is my first car and im only 17. so it could take some time.
ive noticed there are alot of forum user from near me, which is nice, (bingley west yorkshire)
ok, pics:

ohh yerr insurance might be mad, but i already drive a 1.6 bmw, soo no problems there!
as for indicators, they match the rear lights
I couldnt insure mine when i was 17! Wouldnt have been able to afford it anyway!
Good luck with the build, keep us posted!

I like the look of the exhaust. You might want to notch the bumper a little to reduce the chance of it rattling on the exhaust, plus I think it would look cool. It's not legal here to have your exhaust sticking out past the car.

Nice looking build,
The square steering wheel is that off of a 1977 Racing Allegro ;).
Cheers
