so far got the engine home from the scrap yard and preceeded to strip it
down to just the block removed the head today and the clutch and flywheel. need to find a suitable y-2 (cable box) as it gave a lovely pedal in the last car with the willwood slave conversion to hydro.
and im in the market for a full a1 head or better have a chipped ecu from the last build.
bit of a difference in the block sizes a series is a std thou block
Nice looking van and I'm glad to see you have not lost the mini bug :D
Loving the 10s on the van. Very smart will be a fast little van.

it looks better in the pictures really does but it is solid
it handles really bad i think im going to have to sort the camber out i have 2 neg on the pass front 0 deg on the drivers front
and nothing at the back and i need new tires but i dont want to spend too much on it as itll be getting the allspeed frame suspension setup eventually and 13"'s
its not the mini bug i might have lost its the "vtec miini bug" im totally addicted
since last post me and cables my right hand man have removed the bottom pulley without the honda tool
and the last bit of the engine camm belt cowling still looking for a head but my future at works not looking too bright so may be a longish project !
still got to paint niks for him in the nwxt few weeks so i best have a clearout !

yes it was just before i bought it in september its really not as nice as it looked in the mag deffo some photoshop used
the man keef loved his washers ! everything has 3 or more !
but theres little bodges all over it since ive owned it its blown up had a full rebuild sorted the clutch arm out as i wasnt comfortable with the brake union being used to extend the throw on the arm !!!!!!
omex rev limiter new temp gauge as other broke #
as for the bottom arms ! (cut and shut - to give 2 deg on the left and 0 on the right )
just keeping it tickling along now till it gets paint and its new powerplant

You know, that van would be perfect with that engine in the back - think of the access! The longer wheelbase would also be good handling wise... :)

it handles poop as it is  seriously, i think think its more practical having the motor in the front, or else why have a van?

update
went to collect the head today B16a2 head.
it was built 3K miles ago on an n/a build in an EG6.
the head has been skimmed 30 thou to bump up the compression ratio.
the head is complete with cam rail, valves, a2 cams and vtec solenoid
and just to add to all the excitement there are some titanium supertech valve springs and retainers! these have 3K miles on them and have been fitted correctly and the valves lapped into the head.

like i say surprises alot off the line and round the bends just wish the handling was better its fine in the dry but moist / wet its sooo disatrous
will be fixed soon tho !?

funny you should say that, I had three vans and they all handled superbly, I far preferred them to saloons. Is it something wrong with this particular one, or just van handling you don't like ?

as i said handling in the dry is superb ! but due to the fact it has cut and shut bottom arms pass giving 2 deg neg driv side giving nothing and nothing at the rear on fixed brackets with a bit of water or a bit of ice its a nightmare i have lernt to control it but its a hell of a handfull the front lets go then the back begins to slide !
i know how to fix it but cant justify £70 on new adj bottom arms when im going to buy allspeed in a few months !
i have a set of adjustable rear brackest in the garage but their not mine might do a deal with cables !!!!!!!!
(fact ive got a nearly illegal rear tyre x 1 doesnt help !!!!!!!!)
but ill be replacing them next week or so if someone buys my noz and k100 head
its all towards the greater good and i know a decent setup vtec clubby handles (cos i built and killed one) the van i know will follow suit

i say its a handfull but i kinda like it keeps me on my toes ! makes you feel alive !
had a craving for adrenalin since 13/08/08

finally sorted out the vans handling
new set of 4 yokohama A032R's
adjustable bottom arms
and adjustable rear cambewr brackets
all setup 2deg -camber at the front 1 3/4 deg -rear att tracked up and balnced !
omg ive never experienced such handling !!!! im over the moon with it now !!!!!
i can now go round roundabouts without turning into a walzer !
Hopefully you'll decide to keep the 10's as well
crewesmissilesrob

10's are staying ! im not sure how long !
depends on this b20 build might end up throwing it in a clubby for ease and just using it as a track monster / with an mot
decisions decisions
