Colin, I see in your gallery that you are using a Honda Inlet/Plenum setup on a Type R motor. Is it a 1600 one or have you modified the bulkhead to fit an 1800 one (cant quite tell from the pics) ?
If it is a 1600 one, I see from the rolling road thread that it doesn't seem to have had much effect on the power !!! :D
In miniworld Tony Wells had to have the 1.6 inlet until his TB were sorted

As far as I'm aware - I'd have to check when I get back - Mine is a standard Type R 1800 one, Geoff never mentioned changing the unit to a 1600 one - He'd of charged me if he had! - and besides, he'd have a lot of spare vtec engines lying around without plenum's if that was the case.
It does run close to the bulk head though - and I mean only a few mm clearance in some places.
Ill be down at the Ace Cafe do on Thurs 4th Dec if you want to have a look and a chat.

How come you choose injection system rather than TB - was it the noise issue?
No, just down to time and cost, Its dam noisy at the best of times, I didn’t have enough time to source all the parts I needed for the shell, let alone modifying the engine with TB's, I needed the car out of Geoff's as soon as it was a starting-rolling-stopping shell, as I had only 2 days to get it second fixed before Castle Combe, Gaydon and the Italian Job.
So If anything was going to drop off the car, I needed it to be sooner rather than Imola, as it was, I'd put less than 150 miles on it before I went to Italy - I never expected it to get there, so was well chuffed when 3,800 miles later, we managed to get there and back too.
Ace Cafe is on the North Circular between the M1 and Wembley
