Shame Croft is cancelled, but maybe a trip to Doune or one of the wider Scottish hills would be fun.

Perhaps Mr McD could recomend something from the menu ........... :D

Miniwidow is currently rather upset cos the General's rebuild has jumped ahead of her MG Midget in the 'things to do' list. So we'd best not talk about this too loudly.

My final year exams are in May and June so my first event will probably be Cadwell.

The most sutable is probably Forrestburn hillclimb near Glasgow not to far north and no armco or bales for Andy

Welcome to the forum Tim and yes we would be pleased to have you in the championship. To register you just join in the banter online, give the vauxhall boys loads of shit and turn up for the odd event. The first event in scarborough is the one to do, 3 days of camping, drinking, bbq'ing, piss taking, crashing and some racing, all for £150

Where abouts are you, do you have far to travel.

There is a kind of list going on this link for next years championship. It's not set in stone but it gives me a few names to chase up next year before the season starts.

Hi Tim :D :D

If you look at that the list etc is on the first page, not the 3rd as that link actually takes you to. (I think Mr D might have been on the JD  :D )

All sounds good apart from the crashing part.
Live in Sedgefield so not too far from scarborough.
First event being a three day affair might be pushing it a bit with her indoors.
Two of us have a hard enough job keeping the little terrors in line without being left for three days.

Still would definetly like to come down and watch and have some banter then hopefully get involved later in the year.

Think i probably need to get a track day in at Croft for a bit of practice first.

It's mandatory to bring your wife & kids along to these events as it's all part of the fun.

Mark D takes his eldest along (although Mrs D stays at home) & we take our 3 kids aged 12, 11 & 6, they all have a great time.

Crashing is not however mandatory, that bit's down to your driving ability & car set-up.

Drive within your capabilities (like I didn't) & make sure you don't have excessive back brakes (like Smurfy didn't) and make sure tyre pressures are corect & rear ride height is OK (like Mark D didn't) and that your front CV joint hasn't collapsed or your wheel stud sheared (like Allan McD did & is the consequently the only one of us that didn't crash) then you'll be fine.

No, That record is being held open for the first person who enters in one, so as they say on the national lottery, Tim it could be you!!!

I think Allan McD will be crashing this year though, that z cars machine will be far too fast for him

Tis a pity the Cadwell meeting has been dropped, slightly biased though as its only 20 miles from me :)

Mark,

Here are the Southern calender dates to add to the championship. If more people express interest then we may add more venues and dates to the list. I dont mind being a point of contact for the South and am more than happy to update tables etc.

28th March - Castle Combe

4th May - Wessex Sprint

25th May - Llandow Sprint

27th June - Castle Combe

31st August - Colerne

5th and 6th Sept - Wiscombe (this is currently the double header event which clashes with the club track day/sprint)

Cheers,

Lee
