Well, my mini is now officially off the road....out with the scabby old 998 a series...in with my purchase as of last night...

today got my scabby old 998 out with the subframe and all that :)

cut my front end off...

tomorow afternoon i`ll probably just clean up the bulkhead with a wire brush!

i`ll post pics of todays progress up later on tonight...

Then Got the Front end cut off:

but one thing i will say is from the side pic of your subfame the welds look a bit flimsy :?

once i knoe its complete its all getting sent to carrick engineering...local fabricating company to get properly welded/powercoated...

no worries there...but it`ll be all done professionally eventually :)

arranged the courier to bring my engine on monday!

so once the engines here i can line it up for my mounts :)

also need to get a steering rack asap!

Not much but once the whole frame all smoothed up and painted it`ll be smashin :)

So its gettin there slowly! i`ll just keep pottering away at it...Engine should be here on friday assuming the guy was actually in for the courier to pick it up this time!

well got my engine delivered today! :)

pretty chuffed...

i`ll get pics up tomorrow...and get it all cleaned up!

need to get myself a wee engine hoist to lift it and get my frame finished asap!

Found myself a bargain set of r1 carbs! so i snapped em up with the inlet manifold for very cheapness :)

Well i finished college early today, so came home and went looking for stuff to do!

basically just tidied some stuff up, but i did line up the inlet manifold & r1 carbs to see how they fitted...

they seem to fit rather "vertical"? what do yous think? should they be ok?

also phoned bogg bros yesterday and im waiting for him to phone back about r1 fuel pump, choke & accelerator cable, and inlet gasket!

so could be running soon-ish :)

10" minilights on falkens which are nearly new

Modified subframe that needs the mounns made for the engine
Set of R1 carbs on a modified Xe inlet manifold
Fibreglass Singleskin bootlid

Would possibly split but would prefer to sell as a whole...
