Hey Joe, glad you're back. Sorry to hear about your gearbox.
How's everything else on the motor? Did you work out where that extra bhp went (I think it was you that was a bit down on horses wasn't it?)
Chad
Hellooo!!!!
No still haven't got to the bottom of that mystery, having cold start idling problems too which is a bit of a headache
But not as much as finding a box!! I've searched the whole country, it seems these things are real rocking horse sh*t which is a real pain in the posteria to say the least

I have a spare box out a CRX VT if intrested, it means you will need to change to cable clutch, but is minimal hassel :) :?:

If you find a box Joe, i'll be interested in your old one. PM me if/when you get one.
Thanks Paul C

Sounds like it needs new synchros or they need deburring. If you can take the car off the road, drop the box out and strip it. Then check the gears. Apparently if they are burred you can fill the burr's off and they should go into gear.
Now, I havent tried this but Ive heard it several time from guy that have/had race cars. Assume this isnt just a dog box trick? Can anyone confirm/blast out of the water?

When my box fu***** up and 2nd shatterd I sent it to geoff at watsons - he had the necesarry spares to repair it and he alos put the new final drive in as well.
Give him a try he might be able to help as a last resort.
Thanks Paul,
I think I'll do that as it seems I have a similar problem to you, I'm sure it's the syncro mesh as that's what Geoff's suspected aswell.
Thanks all
