same as any other mini id imagine... but trying to remove the panels intact is guna be fun. particularly the wing - scuttle join!

A mate very kindly did mine for me (he also wrote the article for www.manchesterminis.co.uk on flip fronts - if you go to the technical section theres a topic about it in there with a bit of a writeup!)
Basically, he drilled out the spot welds along the wing/a-panels, used a nice small dremmel to neatly cut out some of the joint along the inner edge of the wing and the inner wing/bulk head, then cut down the inner wing from about an inch or so forward of the bulkhead.

Would be the same as for any Mini, but the most difficult part IMHO is getting the hinge mechanism sorted, and this depends on what your subframe is like in this area. Pics??. Far better IMO to make it removable for the times you need the access rather than flip.

The rest is just cutting everything infront of the A panels off, and vertically down the inner wing just infront of the shock mounts.

As said using the existing stuff is going to be hard, as removing them undamaged is not going to be easy. Your best bet would be to sacrifice your A panels in order to save the wings.
That scuttle join is going to be a pain though.

what i did was to hinge mine so it flips, but replace the hinge pins with a nut and nyloc bolt, so it is removeable with only 2 bolts... made removeing engines rediculously easy :)

b&q do a wee dremel like tool for very little money £30 ish.. i think :S

Beats me how anyone can use a Dremel for cutting body work. The discs last about 30 seconds.

The dremmel was only used for some weird little bits that had been really roughly brazed at some point - trusty grinder for 99% of the work - just the 1% that took a long time !!!!
