i had bought my mini a couple of years ago it was a 998cc mini city for £300 from northhamton. i had changed it to a met1275 lump as a friend had 1 lying around.this is the mini after the 1275 went in
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/IMAGE_00005.jpg
i had chopped the whole front end off as it was rotten.so the wings and scuttle is new. also managed to get hold of some sport pack arches which made the car look wide

they did not even notice that i had changed the engine
the car stayed in my garage since jan08
last month the ball really got rolling again as i got home from staying a year at uni i saw my mini and felt sad for it. i had my fun in the corrado it had to go got a very good offer on the car and the plates but i am gonna hold on to the plates and transfer it over to the mini

descided to go for a b18c4 out of a aerodeck with an lsd  so i can leave 2 long treads when i do a burnout.
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/31052008152.jpg
it was a 99 aerodeck
engine code b18c4
gearbox s9b E5 lsd diff
i want to run the mini on a honda loom fully clocks barrel honda key so its gonna b a long procedure
the gearbox needed a clean and som high temp paint
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/10062008162.jpg
now the block
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/11062008174.jpg
nice piece of engineering internal 4 butterflys but it needs to go got a skunk 2 1
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/11062008178.jpg
took a week but got the engine assembled
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/02072008016.jpg
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/11062008178.jpg
now the car the front end is removed and put into my back yard

got my new manifold
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/16062008183.jpg
one word of advice when dooing this conversion always buy a recently crashed honda like the whole car as you are goin to need a lot of things which you will have to buy after which becomes expensive b16 is to expensive b18c4 available in plenty b18c type r lump if you got the money ??
when i stripped the engine i did not remomove the d/shafts so this following part i had to buy a second hand set d/shafts which cost me a lot it is ver imp dont forget to remove it from the honda it is a dirt job to remove it but had to be done uuuuuuugggggghhhhhhhhh :? :? :? :| :x :x  .f***** b******

http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/05072008238.jpg
before the engine went in had to figure out the wish bone stup and the top arm and the hi lows

http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/01072008210.jpg
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/01072008212.jpg
 the manifold did not fit had to put th e old 1 in it looks ugly!!
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/12072008241.jpg
the wiring is a night mare it has taken me 3 weeks to sort the wiring out
also realised need the matchin barrel and key and immobiliser f***
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/16072008243.jpg
it felt i was being haunted by the multimeter while i was sleeping during this period
ive ordered a short ratio rack still w8in for it so till that arrive i cannot proceed also waiting for the brake and clutch mater so car on stand still need to concentrate on wiring
decided to get a hondata s300 system removes the factory immobilisor
and give you a fully remappable honda with many other features such as launch control vtec control
the b18c4 off a aero deck is a obd2 need to get the obd1 wiring which has only the knock sensor missing
i have a p28 ecu of a b16a obd1
had to get my soldering gear out to do this
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/22062008196-1.jpg

http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/22062008197-1.jpg
i think i have the loom sorted at least fot it to start will c.
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj96/j41cyy/18072008251.jpg
i have lights the honda instrument panel works bar the fuel guage i went and got some oil fired it up i did not expect the engine to fire up i was only hoping for crank but it fired pured ran for 2 min and it ran out of fuel.
after a 5 jerry can it cranked it ran again this time it ran for 15 -20 min the fan nor the thernmostat turned on so i have a problem there but with no cat or back box or intake the car sounds mad loud. my neighbour is a OAP so he ran out and told me turn that racket off. every thing is on stand still till my parts arrive.

Hi mate
Good looking build you have going on there. Liking the corrado, can swear i have seen your plate before or one quite like it.
Billy
ive ordered a short ratio rack
Do you mean a quick ratio steering rack ?
If you do then I just thought I'd let you know that member colin ab fitted a quick rack to his watsons setup and found it was to twitchy (dangerous) when travelling at motorway speeds, I believe he went back to a standard rack.
Everyone else is using the standard rack as far as I know with no complaints.
Keep up the good work :D

thanks yeh i go to univ of hertforshire you might have seen it about in hatfield or st albans so the plate was on the corrado b4 but ive sold the corrado retained the plates. reguarding the rack i have a quick ratio 1 coming alog with a few other goodies. my friend has a fiat punto breaking will b remioving the EPS electronic power steering coulmn to get attachet to the to the quick ratio rack. as these column have a ecu which need s a signal from the honda VSS vehical speed sensor for it to give u lighter steering with slow speeds and harder with increase of speed.
Those arches are a work of art! They look amazing :D

Looking good but wasnt the front you had on it a standard round nose? So you will have to cut those archs up to make it longer. :( .
Do a burnout with those micky mouse wheels and put it on youtube :)

did u have to cut the firewall to fit the skunk manifold or was it a straight bolt on job wif watson frame?
i'm still trying to figure out wat to do wif my manifold

well you need to get a skunk 2 it does have clearance but the idle control hits it has 2 water pipes i had to remove the whole water system from the throttle n idle control. i have seen other people remove it. well i have the left and r/h mount on and there is engine movement when i move in gear does make the engine dip backwards. dont kno how the back g/box mount attaches on the bush side?? so it touches. a bit might have to get custom torque damper or stiffer mounts. if u r at the stage with the engine out would advise the bulk head cut as it safer. i might have to get the bulk head done i dont kno yet !!
stuck on the fuel guage cant get it to work!! advice any 1

Really like those arches - they must've taken a fair few hours !!!
Looks like its almost finished - nice one :) On word of caution though - I have a Megane sat on my drive with a seized engine cos I had an air intake low down at the front like yours - in some very bad rain last winter I followed some other cars into a little dip under a railway line - but unlike them I didn't make it out of the other side as the nice low intake quickly filled the engine with water and it came to an abrupt stop - guessing there's a few bent rods in there as it makes a nice clunk if you try and turn it over, or push it in gear !

the car is still in the begining stages with body work so i am not sure have a cold feed pipe and a cda carbon induction filter might put some thing to gether, but it sound like a dyson when i give it a bit of throttle at the mo the car is still garaged so no problem with water there. still doin the wiring the car need to be out of the garage and the weather is very s*** at the mo so cant proceed effeciently.
bought some square bars from bnq 1.5mm thich gonna have a go at makin a custom front strut brace bolting it to the left and right side of watsons frame and the bolting it on the bulk head might get some pics in when i start !!!!

been driving the car about ? the rack is very unsafe !! so needs to be replaced it drives all over the place.
gave my wish bones to an engineering firm to mill a slot in tem for camber adjustment as it was out by 1.25deg it drives better but again needs alignment got mg ball joints
qsj1147s
qsj1148s
seems to have made a some difference i think i had the wishbones the other way round when it went in the body shop i 'Think' so i am no t happy with the result

does the ride height make a diff with camber ?
needs a lot of allignment
the non servo assisted braking is very very dangerous need a servo.
try braking with left foot it works lol !!!!
just ordered my compomotive ML's 28 delivery time what a b**** !!
very happy with the car apart from steering.needs sorting. gave a 200sx a run for it money on the way to uni.

Hi M8,
Excellent build you have done, Just one small observation. You may need to alter the angle of your front end as you will not be able to adjust your headlight enough...

What software are you runnign on your laptop?
Been looking for something like that for a loooooooong time!
Is it honda specific, or is it just generic obd2?

This is for a honda only!! The ecu i have has the hondata s300 chip installed which can be mapped or read using usb. Its a p28 obd1 ecu the hondata is a chip which needs to be soldered to the ecu try cpl motorsport fo the chip costs about £350-400.will cost extra to be installed if you not good at electrics, you will have to supply the p28.
if you running obd2 then you can get a coversion harness to a obd1 then use the p28.
if you are looking for 1 let me know !

cheers for that. i am just flat out broke so the reason for sale. cant drive it every day cant sit in it and admire it cant be with it every day its hard it s just another b****.if it sells might go back and do another vtec mini but try and save money (buy a mig/tig welder) and diy spaceframe using crome moledeum. i am studying structural analysis i am using my mini as a final year proj. involves putting the tdk spaceframe cat design through 120 different crash simulations and gather the data. which should keep me safe !
well if it doesnt save money and start on the rear of my car beam conversion discs,anti-roll bar
