Friday night - Introduced corsa to fence on way home from work, thanks to somebody having spread gravel on the road. Now needs a new rear door skin, assorted bits of trim and new alloy, which will be next weekends job.
Saturday morning - Drive around edinburgh trying to get various bits, and only manage to get about half the bits I wanted. Get home and discover some of the bits I did get were wrong. Although I did buy a new automatic welding helmet :D
Saturday afternoon - Get phone call from brother, asking for some help since some nice vandals thought it would be entertaining to set a sewage pump on fire that's needed to stop the railway line from flooding with sewage. Despite every bit of wiring being burnt to a crisp along with the fuel lines, the engine started. Although it took slightly longer to replace the rubber components off the pump.
Sunday morning - Go cycling with a mate. My bike behaved flawlessly. His didn't. What should off been an hour long cycle took 3 hours.
Sunday afternoon - Start to cut + weld metal for latest project (log splitter type thing). Manage to get everything perfectly square, and the right length (I'm sure this is a first for me).
Monday morning - go back into edinburgh to get some more bits, and get the wrong bits changed.
Monday afternoon - go to dentist, cry at dentists bill. Come home, look at sundays efforts. Look at drawings for sunday's efforts. Look at photo for sunday's efforts. Find a corner and cry at the realisation I've made the bit the wrong ******** (enter several colourful words of your own choice - I probably used most of them) size.
Tuesday morning - Cut up tuesday's effort and start again.
I'm currently having a break, as my arms are sore from the angle grinder bouncing trying to cut through a bit 12mm steel at a nice sharp angle.
There is an upside to all this. I can get a good cut with the plasma cutter in 12mm steel now. Best bit is, the plasma cutter is only supposed to cut 8mm
