Valve conversions

Simply need to know if a 16v head will fit an 8v block? I assume they will but i thought it best to check first. Both are 1.4 MPi engines if this matters.....

It should be possible, would help no end if both are the same type of block(i.e. wet or damp liner) the only problem i can think of is wether or not the pistons have valve cut-outs in them, so make sure the engine turns over ok with no valve/piston contact.

Apparently the later 8v engines have the correct pistons (they all have cutouts, but in different forms), and will take a 16v head.
