Hi,

You can have 1.6 or 1.3 16v both for Swift.
1.6 is actuall 4WD so, it will make interesting conversion.

If you want to get 1.3 Gti engine, let me know.
I just bought an another engine so I got 1 engine and gearbox for sale.

Cheers
Atchi

there are 2 different suzuki blocks to choose from that would fit in a mini quite nicely .. the 998cc g10 3cyl and the 1298cc g13 4 cylinder

they both come in a variety of formats from dirt cheap and plentiful like the basic 3cyl sohc g10 found in normally aspirated geo metros, chevy sprints, pontiac fireflys, holden barinas, and some suzuki swifts, dirt cheap and light weight, it only produces about 55hp stock.

there's also the turbo 3 cylinder which would also be an easy fit, it was found in the chevy sprint and pontiac firefly in canada and the us from '86-'88 and in continued to be sold in canada from '89-'91, the turbo engine produces only 70hp, but it also makes 100+ft/lbs of torque.

then there's the g13a (block is still stamped g13b) sohc 8v 4 cylinder found in the regular suzuki swifts from '89-97 and in the uk it was also used in the '95+ subaru justys, 70hp stock, tbi injection or carburated

the g13a sohc 16 valve, this was fitted to the suzuki swift and many geo metros from '98-01 (may have also been used in the subaru justys), this engine has a lot of potential, but only made about 90hp stock

then there's the g13b twincam 16v engine found in the suzuki, this is probably the ultimate mini engine, dohc and LOVES to rev like a sport bike, it produces 100hp in stock trim with plenty of potential and aftermarket support, it was found in the suzuki swift gti and cultus gti, with the cultus gti (jdm only) engine making an additional 13bhp due to a nicer intake manifold, higher compression pistons, header, and more aggressive cams.

the engines are all featherweights, very easy to cool, very easy to work on, and very very 'fun'. the 3cyl can be revved almost indefinately while the gti engine is happy up to about 8500rpm (stock rev limiter is at 7500rpm in north america, but rally and performance chips are available).
1 person can lift a 3cyl engine by hand, 2 people can lift a full gti engine and tranny.

another fun point, the trannys are all interchangeable/swappable between all the g10 and g13 engines and gear ratios vary from 3.79:1 to 4.39:1
any other questions, come checkout http://www.teamswift.net i know there's more then a few of us suzuki nuts dying to stuff a gti drivetrain into a classic mini shell :)

the layout of that website looks somehow familiar

good looking site, and there looks to be plently of useful info there. i'll take a good look. it was the suzuki G13B that got me into the idea of 16v minis in the first place, so i've always been interested in this conversion.
