Well, I had made many plans to work on my car today, but I just found out I have to work today as one of my clients is moving offices - bugger.
Well, I'm plannig on doing a lot soon, and will hopefully have my subframe on by the end of this week.

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of yours (or anyone elses) gear linkage, as that is something SAE have told me I will need to modify myself.

Bit of a nightmare the gearlinkage - I decided to bring it through the bulkhead so that I could atleast look at using the rover 100 anti-roll bar in future (not sure exactly where it goes like !!!)
Any way, spent all day making, remaking, throwing away, and remaking again !! Its still not perfect - but it'll do for now ! I'll take some pics tomorrow !

Cool.

Well I've just finished work, and am now crashing in a hotel in London - managed to hack their extortianately overpriced internet access though, so I get it for free :D - that'll make up for the chicken sandwich that's just cost me £8

I will work on my car soon!

As always - another full night in the garage planned - the other half is working overtime till 9pm so I think I'll go and make the brackets to mount my new chopped up and welded steering column in place tonight - not sure just how "adjustable" to make them though !
Has anyone else's metro steering column got a small section thats adjustable in terms of length or is it just me ?!

In 90 mins I will once. Once I get home from work. Its stripping the rear drums time and getting the handbrake working right, ready for the MOT it's booked in for on Saturday.

After that, its time to fix the leaks, de-rust and ready it for a blow over respray.

New suspension and then either ITB's or a small turbo. Decisions

You can always have both, so you don't have to decide between them ;)

I really think you should go for ITB's then tell me how you got them working without spending £££'s on DTA    !!!!
Go on - you know you want to - surely you've done turbo's plenty of times before ?!!! :D

Well, the SiR is going to be turbo'd I just fancied doing it on the cheap to the mk1 as I pretty much have all the bits lying around that I'd bought fo the SiR then changed plans.

ITB's are in a cupboard waiting for time, tho, ITB's and a turbo are certainly different

At the moment tho, I HATE DRUM BRAKES!!!!
Removed, greased the correct parts and put back together. Foot brake works fine, hand brake might as well not be there
MOT on Saturday, running out of time... :?

Not keen on drum brakes myself - wish there was a rear disc conversion for the mini that didnt cost anything like the KAD solution ! Might have to try something along the lines of Mivic !
