Hello I found this mini for sale with a 1.0L Suzuki three cylinder turbo engine and I was wondering if any of you can tell by looking at the pic, and knowing that it is a 1.0L Suzuki three cylinder turbo engine, if there are any bigger Suzuki motors that would be able to be fitted with little or no frame mods? (I realize that you don't know the current status of the frame that is in the mini, but just going off of what motors fit in the same motor mounts and use the same drive shafts or something like that) Preferably motors that are available from US cars.

It's possible that the 4-cyl 1.3L GTI motor would fit in there as well. The external dimensions of the block are pretty similar, except the 4-cyl has an extra cylinder. It does look like you might have room for it, but I can't see the side supports of the frame.
I do have to ask tho why you want to change to the 4-cyl? It is not turbo'd so the 3-cyl turbo makes more torque in stock form. Turbos also make for more flexible motors.

Go to Teamswift and speak to Superfly.
Those little Turbo motors are fantastic engines, wish they had imported them to the UK.
