Update - they didn't !
another good program to watch for this sort of thing is "Brainiac: Science Abuse". they take various scientific theorys and put them to the test in a generally humourous way! hoasted by Richard Hammond of Top Gear

I'll keep my eye out !
just sat and watched an episode of "brainiac". Status Quo managed to explode a wine glass by repeating the note "G sharp", some guy blew up a glass bowl using a bar of chocolate and they managed to produce plasma using nothing more than a tooth pick and a microwave! oh, and a good number of caravans were sacrificed in the persuit of good TV!!!

:P brown noise is a sound (obviously) played at such a frequencey that it loosens your bowels, supposalby making you s**t yourself !!
I listened but nothing of the sort happened but the poor guy on the t.v let it all fly, but we didnt see it!!!! probably because he had a speaker right beside him!!!!!!!! :!: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got a mate who did ElectroAcoustics at uni - there's some pretty weird things you can do with the right frequency - aside from making people crap themselves, you can also force people to vomit, and make people eyeballs resonate !
Sick and pooing are both pretty low frequency, between 4 and 10Hz I think - and you'd be hard pushed to get a speaker to do it - most of it was discovered with people sitting on a platform connected to a huuuge resonator ! Think they also found frequencies to resonate certain other joints in the body ! Scary stuff !!
Rich
ahh...but did you know that you can make a woman orgasm with 33hz....
go on lads..get that bass testing cd out and impress the missus

You lucky git  If you ever go to a friend's wedding, whatever you do, don't let her have any wedding cake!!
Anyway, I found some tone generator software on the internet (www.nch.com.au) - I'm going to plug my laptop into the bass box of my surround sound system. If anyone knows of any interesting frequencies to try out, let me know - I will report the results back here :D I can't do it for a couple of days though as I am at the inlaws.

Nope, not a thing!
I tried frequencies from 29Hz through to 40Hz using a sine and a square wave whilst she was sat on the bass speaker - probably not loud enough.
Anyway, here's an interesting post on the subject:

GOT IT!!!!!
download bwown noise at http://www.skyone.co.uk/programmes/brainiac/
It's not a very good quailty recording though. as the volume rises, the sound distorts - perhaps it's just my sound card (?)
