Hi

as i understand it, the amt kit for the vauxhall conversion, keeps the orginal width of the front wheels.

the kits, like the watson ones for the vtech, all use the k-series subframe, and so the front wheels are 6 inches wider.

are there any kits like the vauxhall one, for the v-tech ? basically specially made.

also do you have to fit a beam axle to the rear if you use a watson kit. seems like a lot of hassle to me !

I might have been mistaken, but im 99% sure that someone on minispares mentioned that the famous 'ringmini' fella in germany sells std front frames, modified ready for the VTEC - so will be std length and track!

You could also check out MiniMikes site for the best web guide around for doing your own - that will allow a Vtec in a standard Roundnose!!!

Hope this helps!!!

Remember one thing about the US and Ringmini frames, they are designed for LHD fitment so if you try and fit them to a RHD car I understand you will find that the diff housing will want to occupy the same space as the steering rack gearbox.

Might be worth adding the P&L one is only designed for certain B16's - and even Paul (of P&L) couldn't give me an exact engine number he'd designed it for - hence I'm having to butcher it now. He reckoned the engine he used was from a '96 CRX..
