Honda Gear linkage and gear remote

I have a spare gear linkage but the U/J were the linkage connects to the gearbox has been cut in half (lazy person removed it from the car with an angle grinder).

This U/J appears to be fixed to the linkage and so cannot be replaced, I was going to try and weld/fix it but I came across another linkage in one piece.

I'll take a pic of the cut bit over the weekend and you can see if it would be any good to you.

I have just looked up the rod with the U/J and they cost about £55 so if a repair is not possible you can just buy the rod.

Hi Duck,
If BassAddict didn't take it can I have it?
My everyday car (CRX) is very difficult to change gears.
Last time I looked at it plastic inside was very worn....
It might help...
