Better late than never, thought I'd start a build diary for me and my brothers Mini.
It's a 1972 Clubman bought as a rolling shell, most of the work was completed from Jan 2006 to August 2006. Then spent most of our cash and time turning my old cowshead in to a workshop as the barn where we started the build is due to be converted soon.
We've had it running for a while even had it out for a little road test on a nearby private road. Video is on you tube search "mini b18c4".

Well I've ordered the new .625 master cylinder from merlin motorsport, and a pair of small bore rear wheel cylinders from Mini Spares. Won't know how it is until it's all back together, should be fine though it's the same set up as Duck's car.
Still prepping for the painters at the moment, welding up the unused holes in the bulkhead. Frame is back on now. Painted it black below the crossmember and in the wheel wells. Also fitted new poly bushes in the wishbones.

Yeah did most of the prep work, got the paint for nothing from a client who is a rep for Glasurit, and it's was painted by another client of mine :D
It's not quite finished picking it up on Saturday so don't know how much he want's yet. I'm doing some work for him at the moment so hopefully we can come to a mutually beneficial arrangement :D

Headlining is now done, got a man in. Best £60 I ever spent!!
Screens are in too.
Got myself an insurance quote too, fully comp for me, my brother and the Mrs! all mods declared. £215 not bad I thought, through miniworld HIC.
Matt, I'm using MGF bottom ball joints for the extra neg.

James + Matt, nice to see yours is coming along quickly! I've been trying to do some more on mine recently, but seem to be taking 2 steps forward and 1 back
Will see you at the drag strip next month and you can take us for a spin!!
What brake master did you use in the end? thinking of using another clutch master as a brake master but not sure if 5/8 will pump enough fluid :?
See ya, Mat

Mat, I went for the same set up as Duck on the brakes, used a girling 0.625 M/C. There not too expensive and it seems to work well, so far!
Not sure if using another clutch M/C will work too well.

It's ok James, i saw in an earlier post that you had already said what you were using!!
Went and ordered myself a 0.625 wilwood master kit from rally designs last night, and sorting myself out some 1/2" rear cylinders, silly me though, i had already fitted 2 new 3/4 ones!! Never mind. :x
My clutch master is a 5/8 nissin one and would work, but i cant find a new one cheap and didn't fancy using one that had done say 80k miles as a single line brake master :?

The engine bay looks soooooo clean well done on that. Did you run into any trouble using the entire honda loom? Also have you had the speedo calibrated?

Cheers Danny, No trouble using the honda loom really, it's a bit of a job hiding it all behind the dash, I probably could have gotten rid of a bit more wiring.
I haven't done anything with the speedo yet, it's 15% fast. I'll probably get one of those speedo healer gizmo's one day
