Please look at it the pictures at the bottom of the page and comment on the position of the transmission. Also when the transmission is in the car, is the surface of the transmission, the mount goes on vertical?
Thank you.

I have just had time to look at your post, i had seen it before while browsing teamswift.
The clearance issue, are you using left hand drive rack (looks like you are) you may have some probs getting clearance. You may have to look and see who has built a left hand drive swiftmini.
The front mounting face on the gearbox is vertical in a swift. But i think most of us have tilted the engine back by around 10 degrees to get a better fit. I think the engine is tilted 15 degrees forward as standard.

Thanks Kev,
I've been looking for LHD Suzuki Minis, but it's hard to see how much clearance there is around the rack.
Do you know where I can find the dimensions that show the position of the transmission left to right and front to back?
I only have a three cylinder block, and I want to make the subframe accommodate a four cylinder.

hi john..
if you place the engine in the middle...well.. the way that you will have
two equal driveshafts, you will have about a centimeter of claerance
between the gearbox and the steeringrack...
so... no problem ?

I have about a 1/2 inch clearance between the trans and the steering rack. It just a juggling game but it can be done

It's from the center of the frontpanell mounting hole to the edge of the transmission.

john...
that size is quit custom made...i think...
what for me did work is to start with a jig made from the subframe you are going to use... because there are some different frame's...
then cut away what you dont need... and start building....
place engine + box inside the frame.... fiddel around a bit... and it will fit...
good luck....

Speedy,
What I'm interested in is what other people have.
I expect they will be different. I'm looking for a range.
At the moment I don't have a G-13, just a G-10.
