I think this is a new idea...

I was following a little suzuki carry van today, when i realised that the track width cant be far off a mini. The one i was following was a 1.3, but i wasnt sure if you could get a 4x4 version.

Just food for thought.

Isnt that the same as a Bedford Rascal? If so then isnt the engine under the drivers seat (3 cylinder)? I used to think they where based on a mini when i was younger.
Always thought they were cool!!
But now i keep thinking about topgear when Richard Hammond rolled one!!

Then in 1986 along came the Bedford Rascal version & with it came an increased engine size (now a full 1 litre enginen capacity!!) and many other improvements which later included a 5 speed gear box.

Its either the old Bedford Rascal\Suzuki Super Carry or the later one that came out late 90s early 2000s. Dunno what arrangement the newer ones have, but the old ones did have the engine sorta mid mouned. Some people have stuck superbike engines in them  Anyone remember Hammonds much slower and far less publicised "crash" in the rascal on Top Gear? Why would you want to make one go faster? :?

EDIT - DOH, ya beat me to it ed4ran! I like the A-Team styled one.

Heres a link for a suzi carry 1600 conversion.

Its a for a 1600 sohc though. He has removed a 1300 sohc (g13b block) to fit this in instead. I didn't know they did them in 1300 i thought that was a bigger one called a super carry.

I want to get one of the little 1000's and give it boost.....in a straight line!

My dad has one, and I can see why people would want a 1600 or a bike engine. I could walk quicker

It was also quite interesting carrying 5 metre lengths of UPVC facia board on one
