Can anyone help?

I am using late Metro GTi vented discs, EBC green stuff pads and high boiling point fluid. My brakes badly overheated going round Cadwell park trackday Friday 28 May. Everyone I have spoken to seems to think this is the best set-up can you suggest anything else.

You need cooling air. Duct air through hoses to the "eye" of the brake rotor. It makes all the difference...

EBC Redstuff pads are recommended (by EBC) for trackday use.

I've heard bad stories about EBC pads...

Have you tried any other sorts...?

I "heard" bad things about EBC too, but it would mean I'm passing on rumor as fact... I've never used them myself.

I've used EBC pads on my Mk1 for along time without any problems.

I use EBC pads and find they are great, even on drilled discs.

Thanks for your help. Fitted air ducts today. as for the EBC pads, after talking to several people today the general feeling has been OK for road not so good for track days. Trying some Mintex pads as recommended hopefully they will hold out.
