Here is what she looked like before I pulled her apart: (more pics at site linked in image)

She has her front end off right now, the motor is mostly out (I will need a car lift to finish with the shift linkage).
I hope to have more pics and details added as things firm up, but the original plan is as follows:
Long Ratio Final Drive Gear Set (http://www.minimania.com/web/Item/MT30500/AddedFrom/search/InvDetail.cfm)
Honda B16 Type R ( I think)
Fully Adjustable Rear Suspension Package
Wide Wheel Fender Flares (http://www.superfastminis.com/wide_wheel_fender_flares.htm)
Limited Slip Differential ( if not included in the engine)
Mini Tec Superbrake Kit (http://www.superfastminis.com/mini_tec_superbrake_kit1.htm)
Flip front (http://www.superfastminis.com/FLIPFRONTENDKIT.htm)
Fully adjustable front end alignment (http://www.superfastminis.com/fully_adjustable_lower_arms.htm)
More details and pictures to follow.
Here is the place that I will keep the most updated, as it is the forum that the person doing the work posts.
I will bring the info over here as regularly as I can.

Order has been placed for all the parts minus the LSD and final drive gearset.
The motor is still being hunted for, so we may end up changing which one we use. Who knows.

I intend it to be show worthy, though it is the first from the shop that is doing it, so I am sure there will be some work to making it all lay perfect and look sweet.
Any who remember my MINIs know I love it all to look better than new.
Welcome. Nice car you have there. Shame to cut it up, but it'll be worth it. :D

It's already cut with a flip front. I do say now in retrospect, I wish that the body was as good in all areas BUT the front before I cut it, but I know every little rust spot on that car so there will be no big surprises down the line.
Had I not already rolled the back end I may have looked to get a good body and build one from the ground up. (Have one built more correctly stated.)
For the die hard restoration people, sorry but that is not my game. I have not the skills or patience for it, I would rather have a Mini that runs consistantly. I admire the hell put of that dedication, but it's not something I posess.
I cannot wait to have her on the road again. Ought to be blazing fast. Not much for overkill so I am sticking with the B16. Seems nore torque is only gonna fry my tires faster, especially with my crappy driving. I really need to put in more seat time and get a better feel for it all.
Any recommendations for suspension mods, swaybars and the like?

Minitec ought to have the parts there tomorrow so the project can start moving forward.
I do not thing the engine bay will sparkle at first, as we are focused on getting her running. I assure you however I LOVE clean and shiny engine bays and I will eventually have one, though it may be a while as I prefer having a Mini to drive to having to wait plenty more time and spending plenty more money on making the motor shine. I will see what I can do while it's in the car, and look to replacing parts that can be replaced with shiny well dressed parts.

Just having small issues with the bonnet.
Wondering if this is the norm and most have to fix them or if I need to contact Minitec to see to a replacement.

Looking good. 8)
What about your airintake, does it fit???????????
EDIT: Sorry just have seen the video never mind. :?
I'm making a wedge for mine. It's a diagonal piece of steel what makes the intake go up a bit to get clearance.
Have the intake flange drawn out for the cnc machine hopefully making it this week. Needed an extra 3cm clearance.
Don't want to weld the intake for flow reasons. Using a aebs 65mm intake after gsr pattern.
Wish i would be that far, it's going to slow now.

First run out brakes locked up.
Towed back to the shop, looks to be a simple fix, but they fear test driving my RHD monster so I will drive it for them at 9AM tomorrow.
No Dragon for me folks, just not enough time to fix it (including 3 weeks of paint and body work) and have enough local driving to be confident that it will not fail up there.

She is home, V-Tec is now engaging(it was not previously) I have the dash in, the bonnet sorted, and generally everything as per this project is done.
Issues still to be resolved:
Ride height adjustment or suspension adjustment needed to stop left rear wheel from rubbing if I have a back seat passenger.
Need replacement stereo speaker.
Need to fix the headliner.
Need to figure out exactly how to handle the glove box areas as the inside of them are not done.
Have to order the correct speedo if it ever is in stock at Jeggs.

3rd gear will not engage and I am tired of this project.
10K and it's yours.
Otherwise the car is in great shape. I have a new Lotus en route so I have all the racecar I need.
I want to upgrade some things in my home so this money would be well needed for that.
