Non, as you suppy your own, its the Honda one, usually found on the rear of the engine, now fits below where the AC pump used to be on the front of the engine.

It dosn't have to be one from a Honda. Just make sure you get the output rating that you want. On some of the conversions the alternator had to be mounted in reverse to fit. Doesn't matter which way they turn but the cooling fan may be in reverse in that case.
There are smaller versions with sufficient output that can be sourced. JS
Yeah, its just i wanted one that has the same attachments as the old one... so its easy to swap. Will try a breakers when i get a day off!!!

And when you fit it make sure its in line and the bolts are locktited, sounds minor but has caused so many of us a lot of grief with squells and loose bolts.

Yeah, tell me about it.... i finally had mine sorted last year, and then stupidly removed the engine cos i was bored!!!! Now i can't get the bugger to stop chirping!!!! And the hole through the top of the alternatpor is nice and oval now....
Glad its not just me. If somebody was to come up with a bracket that worked, they would make a killing!!!!
Even the word "alternator" makes me shiver now.
Absolute nightmare I had I can tell you.

Thought you had someone make you a bracket that was ok - or did they just modify the watsons one ?
Rich
We modified the watson one to give it a bit more adjustment, it was just the trial and error was rather painstaking!

i fitted a mini bracket to mine, its quite abit longer than the wastons one
tony
Sorted it....
For those of you with Watsons brackets, the top one that holds the alternator in place is made off such thick metal that it doesn't bend in sufficiently to clamp the alternator firmly in place....
Took an angle grinder to the side, and shaved a mm or so off the bend in the top bracket, and now it clamps down on the alternator properly....
And no more god damn squeak either...... marvellous
