I thought i 'd post up some pics of my vtec mini build so far, starting with my home made frame similiar to brian campbell frame.
I used 3mm 25x50 mild steel tubing.

Awesome. Well done son! :D This is a big enough conversion even if you buy a subby. But making one from scratch is pretty cool man. It's looking good. Good on ya!

Thanks mate, just wish i had an engine package like yours going in.

Don't waste your money on fluff like I did. I like what I have, but I wouldn't do it again. Next time I'd get a basic car driving first with a stock motor. But my wife says there won't be a next time. :( Anyway, you can always trick the motor out later as finances allow.
Keep posting progress, it helps those who are considering the custom subframe route.
P.S. Hey, how are those Raiders doing? The season must be starting soon right?
Cheers!

Hi Mate.
Nice work welding up that subframe!
I just picked up two round nose minis from cooma today with the plan to pop a vtec in one of them. If your keen i would love to drop by and have a yarn about vtec conversions ect.
I live just outside of quenbeyan and currently drive a dark purple clubman.
Cheers from Chris

Hey all,
Made abit more progress in the past month or so got everything on for a trial fit.
Everything seems to fit alright except i dont seem to have enough room for the altenator, which could be a problem and means more cutting on my flip front:(
