Just been mooching through the Suzuki section of the 16vminishop.

Yes, I'm an ignoramus for having to ask but it's the only way you learn (having used the search button and got no answers, of course) - can someone please explain the need for specialist custom bottom arm/tie bar (inc spacers)?

I assume these are specific to the 16vminishop subframe and that you'd need custom ones if you DIY your own subframe?

Can you use standard Mini suspension when you've done the conversion?

If you build the frame yourself, as several have, you can use normal mini ones.
The 16vshop ones are adjustable and rose jointed, but the end of the tie rod the attaches to the frame is also rose jointed to take a bolt through it into the frame,
this seems to be the only difference (possibly lengths of the arms as well).

Suppose someone else who has the frame, or matt can shed more light on the differences.

For caster rose jointed group A tiebars, you just have to take off the bracket that bolts to the std mini frame itīs allready "built in".

I also have adjustable camber arms and offset rubbers, you have to take off some material from the rubbers as the frame is somewhat narrower at the camber arm mount.

I have used a similar setup I got adjustable tie bars from mini spares and rosejoint adjustable lower arms from ebay total Ģ160.
