:D Hi this is my first post and i am building a 16 vavle v-tch honda mini, the engine is a B 16 a2 engine.
I have read alot about the management on this site and i am thinking about going with the DTA system.
From what i have read it cost £750.00 does that enclude everthing i need? I have read that it need a crank pully with teeth in it for a sensor, does that come with it?
I know it comes with a basic chip and will have be be rolling roaded, is this management compatible with nitrous? i have a wizard of nos system.
Thanks

Know sod all about fitting DTA to Honda's but i did read that the P8Pro is nitrous compatible and you can use it to retard the timing when the gas comes in.

Last price I saw for DTA was £880, I have a feeling that did NOT include everything either

Sounds expensive  , AMT used to sell it cheaper than Watsons.

As above - pretty sure the £800 quid or so doesn't include any sensors or anything - most of these you can probably use the honda stuff, except for the crank trigger which honda doesn't have ! Well, it sort of has one in the dizzy, but I haven't figured out yet if this would be suitable since its either 12 or 24 pole depending on which dizzy you've got, and most people running DTA seem to go for the ford style 36 tooth pulley (well, 35 after the missing one) - this generally mean getting the existing pulley machined somewhere.

Well thats £1034 + postage  a good reason to use the Honda ECU if you have the time and knowledge.

only if you engine is std , if it requires tuning of any kind you are then into lots more money .. even using that hondadata system , once you have added all the electronics you need to re-program it you will not be looking not far off that.
So if you engine is std .. go for then for a honda ECU
otherwise i would recomend DTA or Megasquirt :)

Fair point Matt, I'm a bit blinkered as I barely have enough cash to do my project let alone buying Honda tuning parts :(

Hello
thanks for all your messages
So i take it that my management will cost me £1000 to £1,100!!!
If i get the DTA. I also understand that i can get all the parts i need from Geff at watsons 8)
Is really wicked there is this web site as when i ring any one else they dont seem to have a clue( like SAE)
They didnt tell me that i had to cut my bulk head to fit the engine ,i only found this out when i went to fot this engine and my car was sprayed already!!!
Cheers Again

what kit have you got ?
why do you have to cut the bulkhead

You shouldnt have to cut the bulkhead! You have the Watsons frame and a b16a2 engine right? All you should have to do is cut the inner wings and relocated the steering colume hole.
